Delilah Devlin and Myla Jackson's New Release

Two sizzling tales by two very twisted sisters…

Heart of the Jaguar by Myla Jackson

When jaguar shifter Reme Denux stumbles into his ex-girlfriend's palm reading parlor in the French Quarter of New Orleans, he's fuzzy about how he got there. The last thing he remembered was a drink at a bar and having another man's dark, sensuous dream.

As soon as Reme enters her building, Sybille can sense the black magic haze hanging over the man she still loves. With the full moon on the rise, she has to do something to save him from a death-swapping hex or lose him forever. With the help of a voodoo priestess, Sybille and Reme weather the moon's supremacy and the soul-stealing storm, forging a bond of lust and love, neither has the strength to resist.

She’s All That by Delilah Devlin

Librarian by day, Melanie Bradshaw, is driven to desperation by her torrid dreams. However, when she acts on her desires, things go horribly wrong and she witnesses the murder of an overly amorous lounge lizard. With the body disintegrating before her eyes, who’s going to believe her?

When Detective Moses Brown gets the latest Full Moon case, he’s hoping it’s no more than another crazy looking for attention—until he meets the delectable Melanie Bradshaw. Melanie took a walk on the wild side straight into vampire territory. They know her and now she’s not safe. Until he can find out why, he’s going to stick to her like glue. If his own attraction gets between him and his good intentions, he’ll just grit his teeth and do his best to ignore it.

But pretty little Melanie has designs on his body. How’s a brother to resist?

If everything goes as planned, it might be up on Kindle by Monday or Tuesday! So, here’s the deal. We’re going to put it on Kindle for a week at $.99. Just one week, before it goes up to a price that’s more in line with what everyone else charges for this length of story.   Its also on Smashwords.  What we would ask in return is that anyone who purchases MOONSTRUCK do a little something in return for us. Like tag it. Review it. Post the cover and blurb on your blog if you have one. You already know the cover is to die for. Come on, it Jimmy Thomas.  The stories will be very satisfying as well.  It can be read as stand-alone, but if you’re into the MIKs, you’ll really dig Moses.

Someone has suggested that I present a list of certain books that I love and have re-read over and over again.  Please keep in mind, my list is all over the place.  I read across the genre lines, from mainstream to erotica.  Leave a comment and let me know what your favorite books are that you have read over and over again.

Favorite Books:

Drilled-Regina Carlysle
Nothing but Sex-Fran Lee
Blame It On The Mistletoe-Tess McCall
Speed Dating-Nancy Warren

Now with this list, I also have favorite authors like Lori Foster, Tori Carrington, Julie Miller, Jayne Rylon, Delilah Devlin, Samantha Gentry/Shawna Delacorte, Elle James, Elle Kennedy, Sandra Brown, Pamela Britton, Kate Hoffman, Carly Phillips, Linda Warren, Marie Ferrarella, Michelle Willingham, Nicole Jordan, Julia London, Abby Gaines and that's to name a few............like I told you, a very diverse list.  Also with the above mentioned list, I have read every one of their books at least a half dozen times but the above list names my all-time favorites by that author.  Well, okay, except for Leslie, Julie and Linda.

My point of this list to show you the types of books and authors that I read and like.  So when you stop by and look at a review I've posted, it could be about any book that I have read and really loved.

Two Step Temptation

They have a history. A future may be more than she’s willing to give.

Haven Reynolds is stunned when her ex-lover Eric Viera turns up at their mutual friends’ wedding. Her sources told her he was safely a continent away, doing his anthropology thing. Instead she’s scrambling to figure out how to fend off his particularly potent brand of charm.

At least, that’s what she tells herself.

Several months in a Costa Rican jungle hasn’t dulled Eric’s memory of the two weeks he spent with the sexy spitfire. He’d even enjoyed the challenge of breaking through her walls—the warm, passionate woman he’d uncovered had been worth the effort. He’d like nothing better than to pick up where they left off, except those walls are back in place, stronger than ever.

Much to Haven’s dismay, Eric takes her in his arms for a rehearsal-dinner dance. In a split second, it all comes back—the memories, the lust and laughter, the intimacy and control she’s never allowed any other man. Falling for him again is out of the question, but a weekend of hot sex is an indulgence she can’t resist.

Except Eric hasn’t come back to Texas just for the wedding. He’s come for her.

Warning: Contains a sassy heroine, sizzlin’ hero, toe-stomping two-stepping and secret encounters.

My review:

Two Step Temptation is a very cute story.  I love reunion stories and I like to see what happens when they get back together.  Haven and Eric are two of the funniest characters that I have read in awhile.  Their chemistry is off the charts but what sells the story for me is their dialogue.  Haven is sassy but emotional when it comes to Eric.  While Eric is charming, he is confident in his feelings for Haven.

Two Step Temptation never lets up from the first page.  The innermost thoughts from both Haven and Eric are spot on.  While their trysts are hot, they dialogue between them had me coming back for more.  The interaction between the wedding party was entertaining and the dance was enough to make me pick up dancing again.

My only complaint would be that I wished Two Step Temptation could have been longer.  This is my first book from Emma Jay and it will not be my last.

Reviews

I have decided that I'm going to start reviewing some books on my blog.  Nothing major but books that I have bought, read and enjoyed.  Some will be mainstream and some will not.  Some will be current books and some will be hidden gems.  I read across the board, so you will not be bored with my selections, at least I hope not.  This blog was intended for that purpose but it hasn't worked out that way.  I decided to go full throttle with this and I have already chosen my first book.  I hope that you will be patient with me in this endeavor.  I am not a professional but I will present the review in a professional way.

I welcome comments, suggestions, and your thoughts. The first post will be in a couple of days so watch for it.

Saturday

I'm sitting here thinking what to write about today and absolutely nothing is coming to mind.  I know, bad thing for a blogger.  So if anyone is reading this, let me know what you would like me to talk about.  It can be just about anything, keep it clean though.  My mother reads this.  I'm a very opinionated person so this should be interesting for me to see what you would like me to blog about.  I'll check back later and see what you have to say............

Ice Day

I know that some people are blogging about the snow that they have gotten and the misery that comes with it but we had ice today.  Schools closed, bone chilling wind and let's not mention the cold, ice!  When I left the house this morning for work, it was raining.  By the time I got to work, it was icing and cold.  Half way to work, hubby calls and tells me that school is now officially closed.  I'm thinking to myself, breath-just breath.  I tell the people at work that with schools closed now I'll have to leave at noon to relieve hubby.  It takes one hour for me to drive a normal 25 minute commute home.  Son is keyed up when I pick him up and ready to play.  All I want to do is nap, which I didn't get to do today.

I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow and hopefully I can get to work and school will be open.  You ask why............because its my birthday.  And I don't think I can be cooped up all day long again........but then maybe I could get my nap in.

Super Bowl Ramblings

I'll start off by saying that our household is cheering for the Packers.  Not Steeler fan in the bunch.  And we also can not stand Joe Buck!  Yuck!

I actually liked the halftime show.  I know that some people are already saying its the worst halftime show ever.  Yes, the Black Eyed Peas were a little weak in spots but when Slash showed up, I fell in love all over again.  I was never a big fan of Guns n Roses but I really liked Duff and Slash.  Something about them that I still can't get enough of.  Another person that I can't get enough of is Eminem.    His commercials during I know, I shouldn't like him and I didn't until I saw the movie 8 Mile that I have a much better respect for him as a performer than I ever did.  Now, if he would just clean up his personal life.

The movie trailers have been awesome to watch.  Can't wait for Cowboys & Aliens, Transformers, Pirates..........but then again, you have Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Shia Laboeuf, Josh Duhamel, Johnny Depp.............you just can't go wrong this summer.  Plus, you can't forget Cars2, either.  At our house, seeing movies will be our past time.

As a final thought about the Super Bowl, the commercials, half time show, etc., isn't it really about getting together with family and friends, or sending your husband to watch it somewhere else.  It really is about the food and sitting around making fun of the commercials, the half time show and trying not to drink too much.

Just remember...................pitchers and catchers report in a few weeks.  Baseball and warmer weather are coming.  Promise!
